How long have you worked at Enjoy Life and what do you do here?
I’ve been with Enjoy Life for over three years now. Having started in production, I know what it takes to produce our products, as well as the importance of maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for the safety of our consumers. I moved from production to my current position as a Operations/QA assistant. The first hand knowledge I gained working in production has given me a great advantage in operations. I use this valuable experience to ensure that all of our products exceed customer expectations. Some of my day-to-day tasks include performing gluten, peanut and other allergen tests on ingredients as they arrive at our facility. I also perform random quality checks to ensure all Enjoy Life products are great-tasting and safe to eat. Since we use all natural ingredients, the shelf life of our products is shorter than most packaged foods. To guarantee freshness, I work closely with our Director of Operations to make certain the products are shipped to distributors in the correct conditions and on a timely basis.
Do you have any food allergies yourself?
Just one. I’m allergic to cranberries so I have to watch the beverages I drink, since many juices contain some cranberry. And of course, I have to avoid the numerous cranberry dishes that float around during the holiday seasons!
What’s your favorite ELF product?
It’s so hard to pick just one. I would have to say the Double Chocolate Brownie or the Happy Apple cookies. They’re especially great straight out of the microwave!
What’s the best part about working at Enjoy Life?
Well, for starters, I met and married the love of my life just after three months of working here – we’re the first, official couple of Enjoy Life! But most importantly, Enjoy Life has helped me fully understand the severity of food allergies and intolerances. I am so grateful to be part of a team that’s dedicated to making safe, great-tasting foods that everyone can enjoy!
How do YOU enjoy life when you aren’t at work?
I enjoy life in many ways. I love to bake, read, watch movies, explore and create my own recipes, spend time with my husband Julio, and just hang out with friends and family.
