(Makes one 9×9 pan)
ingredients:
¾ C brown rice syrup
½ C organic cane sugar
½ C creamy sunflower seed butter
2 ½ C Enjoy Life Crunchy Flax Cereal
½ C Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips
directions:
Combine brown rice syrup and cane sugar in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, then turn to simmer and continue stirring until all the sugar is dissolved (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat.
Add the sunflower seed butter and stir often until all combined.
Pour the Enjoy Life Crunchy Flax Cereal and the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips into a large bowl.
Add sunflower seed butter mixture and stir quickly with a metal spoon until all the cereal is coated.
Press into a greased 9 x 9 pan and set aside for 20 minutes to cool. Cut into squares* and try not to eat more than 1…or 2….or 3! Yum!
*or cut into whatever themed shape you would like! Ghosts, pumpkins, candy canes, Christmas trees, whatever your heart desires!
** to stamp out letters or shapes with cookie cutters place the tray of cooled rice treats back in the oven at 250 for 10 minutes until softened. Then stamp out with oiled cutters.
